Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade
The stats of an item can be enhanced by upgrading it, also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment gives an increase in the linearity of a given stat.
Players can recycle up to six items at a time to gain an indicator of the level of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling an item varies according to its rarity and.
Upgrade components
A level upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can boost the effectiveness of your weapon and armor. This can be accomplished by a variety of methods, including by using upgrade components or by increasing the rarity or mark level. In addition, many items can be reforged to increase their stats.
Upgradeable items are available all over the game, both in the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. The main way to upgrade equipment is by making use of upgrade components which are components that can be slotted into equipment. Most equipment comes with upgrade slots, and most require a certain upgrade level. Some upgrade components give specific bonuses while others give a general bonus.
There are several types of upgrade elements in the game, such as universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gems and enchantments can be placed on any type of equipment and provide smaller bonuses than upgrades that are specific to equipment. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools and offer a variety of bonuses, ranging from increasing the speed of an item's gathering to providing additional crafting materials.
To upgrade an item, select it in your inventory and open the Upgrade window. The preview will be displayed on the right-hand side of the screen. It will show the expected stats after the upgrade. If you don't have enough of either the two, the Upgrade button will show as Blocked.
The upper-right corner shows the amount of upgrade components required for an item. The cost of upgrading increases depending on the level of upgrade and rarity, but it can be reduced through many different ways, such as purchasing upgrades from a retailer or trading them to other players.
Nearly all weapons can be upgraded using an upgrade to a prefix for example, an insignia or a rune, and many can be upgraded with a suffix upgrade. These upgrades change the name of the item to add an adjective, such as "Radiant" or "Minor vigor. The only exceptions are the noninscribable wands, shields and foci from Prophecies and Factions campaigns, which cannot be upgraded with any mods at all.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a powerful tool for communicating visual information. They move to catch the attention of the viewers and trigger interest in the brain. The glyphs' animation mimics body language, which makes them more effective in conveying the message across linguistic barriers. Glyphs also evoke a sense of familiarity in the brain, thereby increasing retention of the message.
Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by certain range. This is shown on the item, when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This range is not the actual amount at the glyph can increase the stat, but rather the maximum value by which it can increase a stat. The value of the glyph is contingent on the tier and quality of the item you are admiring.
Most upgrade components inserted into items are not able to be replaced or salvaged without dismantling the equipment in question, unless it is legendary equipment and upgrades. If, however, you have a non-useful rune or glyph that hasn't yet been added to your gear, you can move it to a different piece of equipment by using the upgrade Glyphs context menu within the Glyphs panel. This will create an entirely new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.
You can remove the glyph using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. This will cause the item to be destroyed within which it is placed, but you can recover the upgraded item using the glyph and its shards so this should not be considered as a loss.
Adding a glyph to an item may cause it to become unstable and the shards that are left of that glyph will disappear from your inventory once you remove the item. You can also place an inscription to your equipment to give it a bonus. For example, the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and then deal it out slowly rather than all at once. This is useful for players who take lots of damage from enemies, but do not want to be overwhelmed.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens let players alter the affixes on their weapons and equipment and can be found in a variety of ways like mistery boxes or as an uncommon drop from skulled creatures, or by killing bosses. Reroll tokens give the player a brand new random affix, which is usually superior to the original. Reroll tokens are also a great method to reroll the stats of a weapon and can be upgraded to provide better damage or perks.
Rerolled items are not listed in the menu of upgrade options, but they can still be upgraded. When you press the "upgrade button" you can recycle the recycled items. This will alter the design of the item's window and let up to six items to be chosen to recycle. item upgrades adds a small amount of points to its gauge of level. The amount is determined by the item's rarity and its level, which means higher-level items are more valuable to recycle than lower-level ones.
In addition to tokens for rerolls players can also use Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the traits of a weapon in an upgraded unit. A reroll will roll the % chance of a particular weapon trait. If it rolls higher, the weapon will be upgraded, and if it is lower, it remains the same. Weapons can be upgraded up to three times.
Rerolling is a fantastic way to upgrade an item. However, players must be aware that the total ilvl will be reduced by the number rerolls it took to get it to the final ilvl. This is evident on Rings and Diadems since they have no other options for raising ilvl.
The system of rerolls has been criticised by players for being expensive and it's more reasonable to let players pay for it using money or food items which would allow them to change their builds without spending too much time and effort. However paying for rerolls is not something that the developers would like to incorporate at this point in the game's development. Instead, they're planning add an ability to change races in the future.

Leveling
There are many ways to level up an item upgrade. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade which boosts the upgrade value of the stat. The second option is to increase the effect of an upgrade, which can increase the damage or healing of a stat. item upgrades can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade type. Once this is done the new item will keep its iLevel but it will have the upgrade effects of the upgraded item type.
When you upgrade item s it is essential to remember that upgrades are not guaranteed. In most cases, a better roll will result from glyphs, but there are also chances for greater or special rolls. Additionally, the iLevel of the upgrade will be determined by the type of item which means that should you upgrade a rare or unique item to an exceptional item type you has a chance to gain a higher iLevel.
The cost of upgrading items can be expensive especially when you're upgrading an item of equipment from a standard to the legendary track. The cost of upgrading an item will be contingent on the iLevel it's built upon as well as the number of upgrade levels. In addition, some upgrade tracks require crests in order to get to the next upgrade level.
If you're lucky, your upgraded item will reach the highest level on its upgrade track and gain an additional benefit. This will provide the item with a significant upgrade value. The bonus effect will vary with each upgrade level though. In general, the upgrade effect is increased by +3.
The iLevel also changes in accordance with the item's upgrade path and base level. For example an item that has been upgraded from a rare or unique item to a rare or exceptional item will be able to get the Enhanced Defense of the new base type of item.
